A topsy-turvy season for RCB
The franchise is currently languishing at the bottom of the table along with Gautam Gambhir’s Delhi Daredevils. They started their campaign with a horrendous defeat against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Thereafter, they played their first game at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium against the Kings XI Punjab which they won by four wickets and with three balls remaining.
In the Go-Green-initiated match, they were brushed aside by the Rajasthan Royals. Sanju Samson played a stupendous hand and notched a massive score on board. RCBs batsmen started handsomely, but a flurry of wickets pushed them back from which they couldn’t recover.
Washington Sundar and Mandeep Singh tried their hearts out, but the franchise fell short by a fair margin. In their final game against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, Rohit Sharma tormented their bowling attack. Virat Kohli played a lone hand, but couldn’t get RCB over the line.
