IPL 2018: Siddarth Kaul names the smartest bowler in the world

The Sunrisers Hyderabad are having a merry run in the ongoing edition of the IPL. They are hailed as the best bowling unit in the competition. One of their star performers with the ball this season has been Siddarth Kaul. Kaul is not a new name for the followers of the Indian cricket. He has been around for over a decade now.

In the last few seasons in the IPL, Kaul largely played in the shadows of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the spearhead of the Sunrisers Hyderabad lineup. Recently, as per the quotes in Times of India, Siddarth Kaul credited his success to Bhuvneshwar. He thanked the veteran Indian bowler for all the support that he has given him over the last couple of years. He went on to hail Bhuvneshwar as the smartest bowler in world cricket.

“This is my third season for Sunrisers and I owe Bhuvi a lot. I think he is the smartest bowler in the world, he is an inspiration for me. He keeps helping me, even in nets,” Siddarth Kaul quoted.

On his India call-up

Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the India squads for their upcoming assignments. Siddarth Kaul fetched a call up in the Indian side for the limited overs series in England and Ireland. Commenting on the same, the Punjab speedster expressed his excitement over his selection. Also, he cited that the conditions in England suit the bowlers.

Hence, if given an opportunity, he is looking forward to winning games for his side. However, he stressed on the fat that his current area of focus is the IPL where he wishes to do well for the Sunrisers.

“This will be the first time that I will be playing in England. I have heard pitches there suit bowlers. If I get a chance to play, I would love to win matches for my team and country, but my focus is on IPL for now,” Kaul remarked on his India call up.
