The Indian Premier League is nearing its end and the race to playoffs is getting interesting. The Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore are already knocked out while all the other teams are in contention to make it to final four. All the remaining games are going to be vital as there is a big tussle in the middle of the points table.

The Mumbai Indians have got back to winning ways in May and have a big chance of making it to the playoffs as they have a very good NRR. Players have started to take up responsibilities and have stepped up to guide their team towards important wins. Suryakumar Yadav has been one of the standout performers for Mumbai Indians this season. The opening batsmen have been a vital cog in the MI lineup and have provided good starts consistently.

Exciting contest

The Blues need to beat the Delhi Daredevils in their final encounter to qualify for the playoffs. MI has the best run-rate among the teams and need to concentrate only on winning the game. “We’re not thinking about all that. We’re only thinking about what we are doing right. Rather than think about the net run rate, we will focus on doing the small things right which will help us get those two points.” Suryakumar Yadav was quoted as saying by hindustantimes.com.

Rohit Sharma and co have been playing good cricket since the start of the tournament but have failed to get positive results. They have been involved in many close games and failed to get over the line in several occasions. The team has gained momentum in the latter half of the tournament and has not looked back since then. They have a very good chance of making it to the knockouts and will surely be upbeat about their chances.

“This game teaches you many things. Whenever we have been put under pressure, we have played really good cricket. This game is all about handling pressure. If there is no pressure, there is no fun. There is challenge and lot of responsibilities as well. So, it is important to stay calm.” Surya added. The Daredevils can play spoilsport if Mumbai Indians take the game lightly.
