The Sunrisers Hyderabad fans on the internet have long been exploding about the off-form of Manish Pandey and his back to back failures in the Indian Premier League. Many players do have bad seasons, but Manish Pandey turned out to be one of the most expensive purchases in this year’s IPL. Sunrisers Hyderabad added him to their squad for a whopping figure of 11 crores in 2018 IPL auctions that took place in January.

Needless to say, with such an amount, he was expected to show more firepower with his bat. But IPL is a tournament of surprises where highest priced players often fail to deliver and repeatedly rejected players steal the show. Although, Pandey’s lack of performance did not cost SRH much, as they are sitting comfortably at the top of the league table with 16 points. But fans are disappointed and they never hesitate to express that in various forms over the social media, mostly humour.

In the RCB match on Monday, where he once again gave away his wicket to Yuzvendra Chahal with a super easy catch to Kohli, scoring only 5 runs. He was expected to stick around with skipper Kane Williamson after his team lost two early wickets. But it was a soft dismissal, and Pandey was visibly frustrated at his own lack of judgment.
