The Indian Premier League is an ocean of opportunities. It provides a player with a platform where the entire world will watch him. Many players were picked in their respective national teams on the back of performances in the IPL. It is often a dream come true for a player to be playing in the IPL. They would get to play with many cricketers from around the world and understand the game better.

Although the IPL provides the players with this kind of top opportunities, all the players are not fortunate enough to be playing in there. Sometimes, it gets really harsh on the players. The best in the business are often not picked as franchises believe they do not fit into their plans. Some top players like Joe Root, Hashim Amla and others had to miss out on the IPL this year.

No IPL, No Problem!

There are some good quality players who failed to bag an IPL contract. Most of the international teams do not have any international assignments during the IPL. Hence, there is a void and players are finding some free time currently. However, it doesn’t really bother them as they are trying to get involved in some way or the other with the cash-rich league.

Many players who remained unsold in the auction are currently involving themselves with various mediums as commentators and analysts. Since the IPL is telecasted in most parts of the world, there are wide opening for the roles of analysts and commentators. Hence, the current players are involving themselves with some veterans in this field.

Also, quite a few of these players are sharing the pictures of them doing the analysis for the games. Jonny Bairstow today shared a picture of himself in the company of Ryan ten doeschate and Matt Floyd doing the analysis for the game between MI and RCB. The trio was doing the analysis for Sky Spots today in London.
