IPL 2018: Virat Kohli calls Anushka Sharma after the victory against KXIP

Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore started their season with a defeat against KKR. But, their second game against KXIP went down to wire and eventually resulted in the home side’s victory at the Chinnaswamy stadium, courtesy AB de Villiers’ impressive knock. With this win, RCB is currently at the fifth position on the points table.

As soon as the game ended, Virat Kohli attended the post-match presentation ceremony and gave his opinion on the match and rushed to the dressing room and called his wife Anushka Sharma and gestured her to come downstairs. Anushka Sharma marked her presence during the last night’s game and she was spotted sitting in the VIP box.

This candid moment caught the eyes of many who were present at the venue. An Instagram user grabbed the moment on his/her mobile and posted it on social media. The video is going viral and the user captioned it saying, “Thisss my heart  They both are so eager to meet each other ♥️

How the game panned out?

It was Virat Kohli who won the toss and elected to bowl first. 7 out of 8 teams batting second won in this season so far. Kings XI Punjab got an aggressive start but Umesh Yadav rattled the opposition by picking three top wickets in just one over. KL Rahul and Ravi Ashwin were the only batters to add above 30 runs in the innings. KXIP managed to post 155 runs in 19.2 overs.

While chasing the target, RCB lost Brendon McCullum for a golden duck but Quinton de Kock played a brilliant knock before getting out to Ashwin. At one point of time, RCB were 87/4 in 11.3 overs and they seemed to face another defeat but it was AB de Villiers who played a calculated knock of 57(40) with 2 fours and 4 sixes. Washington Sundar smacked two boundaries in the final over to take RCB to their first victory of the season.

RCB will now take on Rajasthan Royals on Sunday at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
