From Shaun Pollock and Dwayne Bravo to Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya, MI have always had the luxury of all-rounders. And it wasn’t surprising that they bought the lanky all-rounder from Queensland ahead of IPL 2018. With the possibility of Hardik being rested and Pollard’s dipping form, Ben Cutting will have the responsibility to fill those big shoes.

He is the all-time leading wicket-taker for Brisbane Heat and was also the Man of the Match in IPL 2016 final. Standing 6 feet 4 inches tall, ‘Cutsy’ is an established T20 cricketer well known for his pinch-hitting abilities and deceptive bowling skills. With Cutting not in the scheme of Australia’s World Cup plans, he might be served with the opportunity to don the captain’s hat given the experience he has of playing T20 cricket.
