Ankit Rajpoot was tasked with the job of bowling the final over in the match against Mumbai Indians. The pacer injured his finger right in the first over that he bowled in the match and seemed to be in discomfort. Furthermore, he bowled three of his overs right at the top and conceded away 37 runs.

When he came back to bowl the first over, Ankit Rajpoot had 15 runs to defend with Kieron Pollard on strike. The Kanpur bowler started off the over on a terrible note. He bowled a no-ball which was hit for a six. Then, Pollard smashed four off the free hit. Thus, the equation was brought down to 4 runs off 5 balls.

But on his second legal delivery of the over, Rajpoot dismissed the dangerous Pollard getting his team back into the game. The next ball was a dot and two singles came off the fourth and fifth balls. The home team needed two runs to win off the final delivery. Alzarri Joseph maintained his calm and comfortably took his team over the line to register a 3-wicket win.

What was that wink all about?

Before he bowled the first ball of the final over, Ankit Rajpoot pulled out at the last moment during his bowling stride. Moreover, he ran towards the batsman and winked at him. At this juncture, it was the bowler who was under pressure and his wink has surprised many. However, the trollers and the social media warriors saw the funny side of this act.

They compared the wink from Ankit Rajpoot to that of the one from Priya Prakash Varrier. Some of the Twitter users trolled him by saying that his wink was more viral than that from the actor. Even the official Twitter handle of the Mumbai Indians tweeted about this topic.
