Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) might be the most talked-about side in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019, thanks to the infamous ‘Mankading’ episode by their skipper Ravichandran Ashwin but they are also one of the teams with a high glamour factor, thanks to c0-owner Preity Zinta. The veteran Bollywood actress-entrepreneur is seen accompanying her team in every edition of the T20 tournament and this season is no different.

The Kings started off the season with a win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) and are currently ranked third in the points table with four wins and two losses. They were set to meet Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday in a bid to improve their position further. The MI are currently in the fifth position with six points from five games.

On Wednesday, Preity was seen travelling in the Kings’ team bus and shared a light moment with young Afghanistan spinner in the franchise Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Afghan news website TOLOnews shared on Twitter a video showing the actress learning Pashto from the 18-year-old and bursting out into laughter. The 45-year-old actress recently praised KL Rahul as a man who is “respectful with women”.

Here is the video

The Kings will be taking on Mumbai for the second time in this season on Wednesday. On March 30, they beat Rohit Sharma’s side by 8 wickets with opener Rahul scoring 71 not out off 57 balls to script the win. Overall, the two sides have played 23 times with MI having a 12-11 lead.

Mujeeb yet to produce his 2018 magic

Mujeeb, who made an impressive IPL debut last year by taking 14 wickets in 11 games, is yet to produce the same magic this year. He has played only three games this year and has claimed three scalps so far with the best figures of 2 for 31 against the RR in that controversial match. Having made his international debut in 2017, Zadran has taken 63 wickets across all three formats so far.
