Spinner R Ashwin and M Ashwin had impressed with the bat, conceding just 25 and 26 runs respectively. In reply, the Kings XI chased down the total with more than an over remaining.KL Rahul starred with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 71.

Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, beat Kolkata Knight Riders via Super Over after a thrilling tie at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Chasing 185, the Delhi Capitals were well on their way when Prithvi Shaw departed in the 19th over after scoring a sublime 99. However, Delhi Capitals could not score the 6 runs needed in the final over and had to depend on the Super Over. After the batsmen scored a modest 10, Kagiso Rabada bowled superbly to defend the target.
