The Sunrisers Hyderabad moved on to top of the table with their 3rd straight win by defeating the Delhi Capitals comprehensively. The SRH bowlers made the hosts work hard for the runs after they elected to bowl first. The Capitals finished with 129/8 on the board and the Bairstow-Warner pair once again gave a great opening to SRH. The duo added 64 runs inside seven overs but the middle-order struggled to get going on a slow track. The 28-ball 48 from Jonny Bairstow at the top played a key role in the end as SRH chased down with nine balls and five wickets to spare.

SRH dominates Delhi again:

9-4 – The Sunrisers Hyderabad have defeated the Delhi Capitals (Delhi Daredevils) on nine out of 13 matches in the IPL. The SRH team won six out of seven IPL games while chasing against them.


Nabi’s 100% record:

7 – Mohammad Nabi has featured in seven matches in the IPL for the Sunrisers Hyderabad who won all those seven matches. The seven matches he played are the most by any player with 100% win record in the IPL. He went past Palani Amarnath’s record of six matches for CSK in the 2008 edition.


22/23Mohammad Nabi remained unbeaten on 23 instances while chasing in Twenty20 cricket out of which his teams won 22 matches. The only time his team lost when he was unbeaten in a T20 chase was during the 2013 BPL Qualifier for the Sylhet Royals. Nabi came to bat at No.8 after the Sylhet team lost their 6th wicket at 19.4 overs. He didn’t face a ball and the opposition Dhaka Gladiators won by 4 runs.

4 – Jonny Bairstow and David Warner pair became only the 2nd in the IPL to share fifty-plus stands in their first four partnerships. The pair of Warner and Shikhar Dhawan also had 50+ stands for their first four partnerships in the IPL also for the Sunrisers.


A wicket after a long time:

194 – Runs Bhuvneshwar Kumar conceded between his 120th (Shane Watson in 2018 Qualifier) and 121st (Prithvi Shaw in this game) wickets in the IPL. He bowled 22.3 overs between those two wickets in the league.


Milestones for Shankar and Bairstow:

1002Vijay Shankar completed 1000 runs in Twenty20 cricket when he went past his individual score of 14. He has batted 52 times in this format and has four fifties to his name.


2012 – Jonny Bairstow aggregated 2012 runs in his Twenty20 career thus far in 91 innings with help of two hundreds and seven fifties. He went past 2000 T20 runs when he was on 36 in this game.
