The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have been playing some exceptional cricket of late. The team was left shell-shocked by the loss in the first game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). However, they have come back strong and registered a hattrick of wins. SRH is one of the most balanced sides in the tournament at the moment.

They are the leaders of the points table and have still got players waiting in the ranks for an opportunity. Just after a day post the win against the Delhi Capitals (DC), the ‘Men in Orange’ will be back in action. They will face the three-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) and it should be a great contest. SRH has got a problem of plenty now. The captain, Kane Williamson, even if fit, might not find a place in the eleven.

Here is the Predicted Playing XI for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH):

Openers (Jonny Bairstow (wk), David Warner)

Jonny Bairstow is toying with the bowling attacks in the tournament. He is looking at the cricket ball like a beach ball and probably picking it even before it comes out of the bowler’s hand. In four games thus far, he was the ‘Man of the Match’ on two occasions which shows the way he’s been dominating. The way the English cricketer got out in the last game raised a few questions but he had done enough damage to the opposition by then.

David Warner’s appetite for runs also doesn’t seem to end. The former SRH skipper suffered a rare failure in the last game. He played the second fiddle initially but couldn’t get going when he needed to. The left-hander will surely be looking forward to making up for the missed opportunity in the last game when he plays the Mumbai Indians.

Middle Order (Vijay Shankar, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Yusuf Pathan)

Vijay Shankar will continue batting at number three. The batting all-rounder has been in good form with the willow. He is hitting the ball sweetly but has largely failed to maintain the consistency. He’s got to be someone who stays in the middle right through till the end and take his team home. Shankar needs to be slightly more selective with his shots. Manish Pandey will bat at either four or five.

He is one of the senior members in this side and must deliver to the best of his ability. He missed out on a wonderful opportunity to finish the game for his team in the last match. Deepak Hooda and Yusuf Pathan will be the other two batsmen in the middle-order. Hooda has got great backing from the management till now and it is time for him to deliver. His place in the eleven is not secure with someone like Abhishek Sharma waiting for his chance.

All Rounders (Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan)

The Afghan duo will form the all-rounder’s department of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). In the two opportunities that he got, Mohammad Nabi proved his worth both with the bat as well as the ball. He seems irreplaceable in the eleven at the moment and has put his captain’s position in a fix.

Rashid Khan will be the fourth overseas player in the SRH line-up. He is ever-reliable with the ball and is quite crafty about his business. However, the oppositions have been a lot smarter now while playing against him. Rashid will have to unearth new ways to dismiss the batsmen soon.

Bowlers (Bhuvneshwar Kumar (c), Siddarth Kaul, Sandeep Sharma)

The pace-battery of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul and Sandeep Sharma will complete the SRH line-up. Bhuvi is just about gaining his confidence back. He picked his first wicket of this edition of IPL in the last game which should boost his confidence. SRH will have a lot of hopes on their skipper in the crucial encounter against Mumbai.

Likewise, Siddarth also picked his first wicket of the season in the last game. He needs to improve on his yorkers and the slower balls. With someone like Hardik Pandya in great form, the pacer will have his work cut out during the death overs. Sandeep Sharma has done well in the middle overs and his role will be the same in the upcoming game as well.
