Mumbai Indians might have possessed one of the best batting line-ups but their bowling attack was good enough to defend a low total. Kieron Pollard’s unbeaten 26-ball 46 helped MI to finish on 136/8 out of which 39 runs came in the last two overs. Alzarri Joseph’s dream IPL debut made the things tough in the chase for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The opening pair got out in the powerplay for the first time this season and saw middle-order tumble one after the other while Joseph claimed a 6-wicket haul.
All the major stats and numbers recorded during the low-scoring game in Hyderabad:

6/12 – Alzarri Joseph’s bowling figures of 6/12 are the best in the history of IPL. He bettered the figures of 6/14 recorded by Sohail Tanvir way back in the inaugural 2008 edition for the Rajasthan Royals against Chennai Super Kings.

6/12 – Alzarri’s bowling figures are the 8th best bowling figures and the 4th best by a pacer in the Twenty20 format. These are the best bowling analysis for any bowler in T20s on Indian soil as well. Sohail Tanvir in the 2008 IPL and Deepak Punia in the 2015 Domestic T20 tournament for Services had figures of 6/14 while playing in India.
End of a streak:
