The Royal Challengers Bangalore’s losing streak doesn’t look like ending ever as they suffered their 6th straight loss this time against Delhi Capitals. On a tricky surface in Bangalore this time, the home team could only make 149/8 in their 20 overs. Virat Kohli top-scored with 41 for them but was away from the strike for the most part of his stay. Shreyas Iyer anchored the chase with a 50-ball 67 and gave no chance for RCB. Delhi looked like messing up once again by losing three wickets for two runs when they needed five to win from 16 balls.
Here are all the major stats and numbers from yet another defeat for the RCB in this season:
A new low for RCB:
7 – The Royal Challengers Bangalore have lost each of their last seven matches in the IPL including the last league game of the 2018 season. This is now the longest losing streak of RCB in the IPL surpassing the 6-match streak during the 2017 season. RCB’s losing streak in the 2017 edition could have been seven as the game to be played against the Sunrisers during that streak got abandoned.
RCB levels Delhi:
6 – The RCB team now have lost each of the six matches they played in this season. They are only the 2nd team to lose each of their first six matches in an IPL season. A rare failure for ABD in Bangalore:
17 – Runs scored by AB de Villiers in this game; his lowest T20 score at this venue in eight innings since 2018. De Villiers scored fifties in each of his previous five matches at this venue. He scored six half-centuries from his previous seven T20s at this venue with the lowest score of 20.
