With the Indian Premier League (IPL) all set to enter its business in the coming days, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they lock horns at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali on Monday. Both the teams have lost their previous encounters which ended their winning run. While Punjab lost to Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) could not find a way past the Mumbai Indians (MI).

Kings XI Punjab lost by 22 runs against the defending champions. After losing Chris Gayle and Mayank Agarwal for just 7 runs while chasing 160, the Kings XI were looking destined to register their first win at the Chepauk when KL Rahul and Sarfaraz Khan scored fifties during their 110-run stand. However, with the required-rate mounting, the Kings XI’s challenge eventually fizzled out and they finished on 138.

High-flying Sunrisers, on the other hand, came crashing down to the earth after being thrashed by 40 runs by Mumbai. When Mumbai Indians (MI) finished their innings on 136, the Sunrisers were favourites to win their fourth game of the season. However, their batsmen fell like a pack of cards in front of Alzarri Joseph. The 22-year-old, making his IPL debut, picked up a record figure of 6 for just 12 to bundle out the Sunrisers for just 96.

After the defeats in their previous games, both Sunrisers and Kings XI have three wins from their opening five matches. However, Sunrisers are third in the table while the Kings XI are sixth due to the net run-rate. A lot will be at stake when the two teams meet on Monday as both of them will be desperate to get the momentum as soon as possible for the upcoming crucial stage of the tournament.

How will be the weather:

The players will have pleasant weather when they fight it out in Mohali. According to AccuWeather, the temperature will be around 27-degree Celsius at the start of the game but will drop down to 22-23 degree Celsius as the game progresses. There is no prediction of rain but there will be considerable cloud covers. The humidity will range between 40-50 per cent during the game.
