Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will be eyeing a swift return to winning ways when they take on beleaguered Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the second game of Saturday. Kings XI Punjab’s winning run was snapped by Mumbai Indians (MI) earlier this week in the most breathtaking of fashions. Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, continue to search for their first win of the season even after six games.

Kings XI Punjab were looking destined to beat Mumbai Indians for the second time this season after KL Rahul’s maiden IPL ton propelled them to 197. The bowlers then put the Kings XI on top by reducing the three-time winners to 65 for 3 at the end of the tenth over. However, the Punjab-based outfit had just no answer to how to stop Kieron Pollard as the all-rounder played a whirlwind knock to bail his team out of the trouble. Pollard slammed 83 from just 31 balls to power Mumbai to a thrilling victory.

For Royal Challengers, there was no end to their miseries as Delhi Capitals slapped them with their sixth straight defeat of the season. The Virat Kohli-led side now stands on the verge of a premature exit from the competition. Against Delhi, Royal Challengers’ batsmen once again failed to deliver and could only manage 149. In reply, Delhi Capitals chased down the total without breaking much of a sweat.

The last time these two teams had met in the IPL, a Umesh Yadav-inspired Royal Challengers had bowled out KXIP for just 88. The three-time finalists had gone on to win the game with 10 wickets and 71 balls to spare. With their fate hanging by a thread, the Royal Challengers would be desperately hoping that they replicate their last year’s performance against KXIP.

How will be the weather:

While there are predictions of a very light shower in the evening, one can expect a rain-free match. According to AccuWeather, there is a prediction of rain at all during the game. The temperature will be around 30-degree Celsius during the game and will fall down to 25 towards the end of the game time. The cloud cover will be around 49% during the start but will keep reducing as the game wears on. Humidity will hover in the range of 36-46%.
