The last time Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) had met this season, the contest had turned out to be a one-sided affair. But contrary to what many would have expected, it was DC who dominated the proceedings. Rishabh Pant was at his devastating best, slamming 78 not out from just 27 balls to propel his team to a mammoth 213.  In reply, MI were all out for just 176 with Yuvraj Singh being the only batsman putting up a stiff challenge.

Both the teams are now gearing up to take on each other once again. Delhi Capitals will welcome Mumbai Indians at the Feroz Shah Kotla on Thursday. The hosts are riding high on confidence after winning their last three games. The Delhi-based outfit has defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last three games. With 5 wins in 8 games, DC are now at the second spot in the points table.

Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, have the same number of wins but are third in the points table due to poor net run-rate. Moreover, they are coming to Delhi after losing their previous encounter to Rajasthan Royals. The three-time winners could not defend 188 against a Jos Buttler-inspired Royal side.

Not only the momentum but also the stats are not in favour of Mumbai. They have a win percentage of just 30 percent in Delhi which is their lowest at any away venue in IPL. Overall too, Delhi have won this fixture 12 times compared to Mumbai’s 11.

How will be the weather?

One can expect a full game as there are no chances of rain. According to AccuWeather, there is no prediction of rain with the cloud cover hovering between 17-18% during the game time. The temperature in the national capital will be around 26 Degrees Celsius when the game starts. As the games wears on, it will come down to around 24 Degrees Celsius. The humidity will be on the higher side and will range between 64 to 67%.
