The Chennai Super Kings are finding it tough in the second half with back to back defeats over the last week. The batting performances of the top order are hurting the team’s chances repeatedly. The defending champions played their last four matches away from home in which only MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu aggregated over 100 runs. They will now take on the in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad who are quite opposite to CSK in terms of the batting power.
All the key stats and numbers that matter ahead of CSK’s home clash against SRH:
2 – Chennai Super Kings won both their matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Chepauk Stadium. The last week’s victory for SRH was only their 3rd in the IPL against CSK in 11 meetings.
2 – Innings per fifty-plus score of David Warner for the Sunrisers Hyderabad; the best ratio for any player for a team in the Twenty20 format. Warner has 32 fifties and 2 hundreds across 68 innings for SRH in the IPL.
17 – Dwayne Bravo picked up 17 wickets in the IPL against the Sunrisers Hyderabad; the most by any bowler against them. Mohit Sharma stands second in the list with 14 wickets. Bravo returned to the playing XI after missing four matches while Mohit hasn’t featured in the previous five.

426 – Runs Ambati Rayudu scored in the IPL against the Sunrisers Hyderabad; one of the four players with 400+ IPL runs against SRH. He scored those runs across 12 innings at an average of 53.25 with help of three fifties and his only Twenty20 hundred.
445 – Jonny Bairstow’s 445 runs in this IPL are the most by any player in their debut IPL season. (Excluding the inaugural edition) Bairstow went past Shreyas Iyer’s tally of 439 runs during the 2015 season. The game against CSK will be the last for Bairstow in this tournament.
