Chennai Super  Kings (CSK) will be seeking home comfort when they take on resurgent Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 41st game of this season’s IPL on Tuesday. The defending champions have lost back-to-back games for the first time since returning to the league last year. The MS Dhoni-led side also lost their spot at the top of the points table after Delhi Capitals (DC) won against Rajasthan Royals (RR) last night.

With seven wins from the first eight games, CSK were just running away in the league before the last two games exposed them brutally. In their ninth game of the season, the Sunrisers completely outplayed them as the reigning champions missed their inspirational skipper. In the following game, Dhoni returned and made an immediate impact against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The 37-year-old Dhoni churned out his career-best knock but could not save his team from a narrow one-run loss.

While the defeat have not hurt CSK’s chances of making it to the playoffs, they have very much shown their over-reliance on Dhoni. The likes of Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Kedar Jadhav and Suresh Raina have not quite managed to deliver and their indifferent form has put immense pressure on the rest of the players. With not much going their way at the time, CSK could not have asked for a better venue than their home to bring their campaign back on track.

Sunrisers, on the other hand, have got back to winning ways after losing three on the trot. They have thoroughly outplayed CSK and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their last two games and will be looking to make the most of the newly-found momentum.

How will be the weather:

The crunch clash between the last year’s finalists is unlikely to be interrupted by any natural phenomenon. According to AccuWeather, there is absolutely no chance of rain. The cloud cover will also be minimal throughout the game in the southern part of India. In the beginning, the cloud cover will be around 6% and will not exceed 10%. However, the humidity will be on the higher side. It will be ranging between 75-78% during the match.  As far as the temperature is concerned, it will be around 30-degree Celsius throughout the game.
