The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) the other day managed to beat the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by one run at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in  Bengaluru. Currently placed eighth on the points table, the Red Army needs to win all their remaining four games and hope for a few other results to go their way along with mathematical calculations coming to their rescue.

Their next match is against the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on Wednesday, April 24, in Bengaluru itself and Virat Kohli and Co would want to make it two out of two against Ravi Ashwin and Co in this edition’s Indian Premier League (IPL). Amidst some lacklustre shows, especially with the leather in hand, one person has stood out and it’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.

A determined Yuzvendra Chahal

The tweaker is currently the third highest wicket-taker of the T20 extravaganza with 14 wickets from 10 matches at an economy of 7.53. Apart from the match against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens, the Haryana cricketer has picked up at least one wicket in every other encounter. His best figures of 4/38 came against the Mumbai Indians (MI).

Ahead of RCB’s next match, Chahal posted a picture on Instagram where he can be seen, celebrating a dismissal along with RCB captain Virat Kohli. He captioned the picture and wrote, “Victory is not always winning the battle, but rising everytime you fall…!! #playbold,”

In the meantime, Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai captain, made a funny reply to the post. Rohit and Chahal share a good camaraderie and both have come up with frequent posts in the social media. At times, even Ritika Sajdeh, Rohit’s better half, has been seen, spending funny moments with the two Indian cricketers. Rohit replied to the POST and wrote, “Pata hi nahi tha bhai, (I didn’t know this friend)”
