When it comes to IPL, Jayant Yadav is one of those players who have had a forgettable career. After representing the Indian cricket team at the international level, if a player’s numbers are as of Jayant’s then one must feel sorry for him. Yadav has featured in the four editions of the tournament but he has played only 12 matches so far.

In the 2019 edition of IPL, he was surprisingly bought by the Mumbai Indians. But unfortunately, he managed to play only a couple of games. As expected, his performance was once again poor. He picked up a solitary wicket in those two games while he didn’t get the opportunity with the bat. Being a genuine spin bowling all-rounder, it was pretty harsh on him that nobody was able to use him to his full potential.

With Mumbai having Krunal Pandya, Rahul Chahar and young Anukul Roy in the side, it looks a tad improbable for Jayant Yadav to breach into the playing eleven in even a single game of the upcoming IPL season. He should have been released by the franchise for these obvious reasons.
