Before Ali Khan’s name was announced, Mustafizur Rahman’s name was going around in the cricket circuit as the possible replacement for Gurney. However, Bangladesh Cricket Board didn’t give him the permission to feature in IPL as Bangladesh’s team was expected to tour Sri Lanka. The tour has been postponed now and Mustafizur is now available to play in the cash-rich league.

The left-arm pacer is a renowned bowler in the world for his excellent control over the ball and the variations that he possesses. He could be a perfect solution for KKR’s bowling issues as his cutters can be extremely productive on UAE pitches.

If KKR opts for him as the replacement, he will bring in the variety of left-arm pace as well. He has previously played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians and grabbed 24 wickets in 24 games at an economy of 7.5.
