IPL 2020: 3 players you can exclude from your Dream11 team for DC vs MI game

We are in the business end of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and it’s match no. 51. The first-placed team and the third-placed team will be locking horns i.e. it’s Mumbai Indians against Delhi Capitals at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. MI will be looking to replicate their performance from the previous match and fix their spot in the top 2.

DC, on the other hand, will be looking to get back to the winning ways. Their batting looks a bit distorted since the exclusion of Prithvi Shaw and it’ll be interesting to see whether they pick him for this game or not.

Their bowling looked ineffective against SRH and probably that’s the first time they looked a tad off colour this season. Their bowling and batting have to coordinate within if they are to bag those two crucial points to avoid any more hiccups this season.

1. Ishan Kishan (8.5 credits)

Ishan Kishan was impressive on a few occasions but he hasn’t really got going whenever he has started well with the bat. He has scored two fifties this season and on most of the occasions, he gifted his wicket when he could’ve gotten a big score.

He has been brilliant in the field though but with Quinton de Kock in the side, he is unlikely to don the keeping gloves for this season at least. Hence you can exclude him from your Dream11 team.

2. Axar Patel (8.5 credits)

Axar Patel has had a silent campaign apart from a few outings where he has contributed well either with the bat or ball. He has picked eight wickets in 11 matches, scoring 66 runs. With the abundance of all-rounders in MI alone, you can opt to leave the lanky all-rounder out from your Dream11 team.

3. Marcus Stoinis (9 credits)

Marcus Stoinis hasn’t had a great campaign as the tournament progressed. He hasn’t been successful in replicating his performances which he produced initially. So far, he has managed 237 runs from 12 matches and picked up eight wickets. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs against the strong bowling lineup of MI but for this match, you can exclude him from your Dream11 team.
