Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab, two teams who have had nail-biting encounters in the past, will battle it out in the 24th match of the Dream11 IPL. Kolkata Knight Riders have had a topsy-turvy campaign so far. While they have managed to squeeze out 3 wins in 5 games, they do not look like a well-oiled unit as of now.

Their bowling has been considerably good. Their skipper, Dinesh Karthik has made good use of the plethora of options at his disposal. However, the lack of runs from the bat of their star Andre Russell will be a slight botheration. They also seem undecided over Sunil Narine’s role as a batsman in this team. But that is about it for now.

Kings XI Punjab on the other hand, have more than just a couple of problems to be concerned about. After looking good in the first 3 games, they have completely fallen off the mark in the last 3 games. They seem very reliant on the top order, and the bowling, barring a couple of good spells, has been shambolic.

Glenn Maxwell, a player KXIP had great expectations from, has been a massive let down and is likely to be dropped for this game. K.L Rahul has changed his approach and is trying to play in a restrained manner, and not with aggression which made him a star T20 player.

There seems to be a lot of chaos in the team, and the Kings will hope, they can start clearing out that chaos in this game by posting an emphatic victory. To help you have an emphatic day, here are 3 players you can exclude from your Dream11 team for this game.

Here are 3 players who could be excluded from your Dream11 Fantasy team:

1. Sheldon Cottrell (8.5 credits)

Sheldon Cottrell was bought for some huge bucks in the auction but has been a major disappointment. While he started off well, picking 4 wickets in his first 2 games, batsmen seemed to have become comfortable facing him.

In the last two games against CSK and SRH, he has gone for more than 10 runs an over and hasn’t picked a single wicket. KKR, which has a mighty batting line up, with several power hitters, wouldn’t find Cottrell’s pace or bounce to be challenging. There is a high possibility he may be taken to the cleaners in this game. Hence, you can keep him out.

2. Dinesh Karthik (8.5 credits)

The skipper of KKR, Dinesh Karthik, has had an extremely underwhelming IPL so far. He just hasn’t been able to define his role in this team. He seems to be in two minds about where exactly he should bat.

That indecision hasn’t helped him and he has managed just 49 runs this season, despite playing 48 balls. Add to that, he has scored just 18 in his last 4 games. Dinesh looks badly out of form, and with a number of wicket-keeping options available for this match, you shouldn’t consider having him in your team.

3. Sunil Narine (9 credits)

Sunil Narine has failed to do anything impactful this season. He has failed as an opener and has been able to pick just 3 wickets in 5 games. He has failed against good pacers and with Rahul Tripathi nailing his spot as an opener, there is a lot of uncertainty about where he is going to bat.

With the ball, he might have a decent economy of 8.33 this season but is not the wicket-taker he used to be anymore. Hence, with not too many possibilities of getting points from Narine, you can look to include other all-rounders.
