The first games for both Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore went down to the wire but while RCB emerged victorious, unfortunately KXIP couldn’t cross the line. While both the teams had a few brilliant individual performances, there were a number of players who looked rusty in their respective outfits.

It is important for both the teams to adapt to the new conditions and bigger grounds as soon as possible. Hitting boundaries from ball one or playing through the line wont be as easy in the UAE and especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Based on the performances of the the players from their first games, and the possibility of them performing or not in this match, we have tried to figure out three players you can risk keeping out from your Dream11 team.

Here’s the list for the RCB vs KXIP game: –

1. Glenn Maxwell (9 credits)

Much was expected from the very experiendd Glenn Maxwell in the first game against the Capitals, but he flattered to deceive and was tamely dismissed for just one run.

While it is widely believed Maxwell has done well in United Arab Emirates (UAE), in Dubai he has scored just seven runs in two innings and would be desperate to make amends.

Coming in the middle overs when the pitch generally slows down a considerable bit, Maxwell may not be able to produce the expected impact and with his volatile temperament could be dismissed cheaply once again.

2. Aaron Finch (9 credits)

Aaron Finch played second fiddle to debutante Devdutt Padikkal in the first match as the latter smoked it all across the park. But Finch was merely rotating strike because Devdutt was playing well.

The Victorian himself was being unable to find the boundary and seemed to be struggling against spin and pace alike.  He was eventually dismissed for 29 off 27 balls.

Aaron Finch, like Maxwell, is a natural strokemaker and likes the ball coming on to the bat. He might not have that luxury in Dubai and instead of taking a risk on him, it is better to go with other options for the time being.

3. Dale Steyn (8.5 credits)

The once-feared Dale Steyn looked a pale version of himself in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Not that he didn’t bowl well, but he couldn’t spew the venom he is known for.

While he didn’t bowl too badly with figures of 1/33 in 3.4 overs, he hardly looked threatening. He was bowling at a decent pace but the batsmen were able to easily rotate the strike against him.

With age not on his side, it is unlikely Steyn will be able to get more pace, and with the way he is bowling currently, it is better to not consider him in your team which has limited spots.
