Royal Challengers Bangalore are up against Sunrisers Hyderabad in what promises to be a thrilling contest between two teams which have enjoyed a unique rivalry over the years. While RCB is batting-heavy, Sunrisers have plenty of quality bowlers in their line up.

RCB have added overseas players like Aaron Finch and Chris Morris to their squad this year, who would not only contribute at the top of the order and the death over bowling respectively but are also valuable additions to the leadership group. SRH, on the other hand, have gone after youngsters like Priyam Garg and Virat Singh to help them ease out their middle-order deficiencies.

Here are 3 players you can exclude from your Dream11 team:

1. David Warner (10.5 credits)

This might come as a surprise as David Warner has been a top player in the IPL for a number of years with 3 orange caps in the last 5 years. But he is coming off a horrendous limited-overs series in England. While he scored 50+ in the first T20, it was followed by a duck and then just 36 runs in 3 innings in the ODI series. He is an aggressive stroke maker and might find it hard to get going in the first game of the new season due to the slow nature of UAE pitches.

2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (9 credits)

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been very successful in the IPL. He was the highest wicket-taker in 2016 and 2017. However, in the last 2 seasons, he picked up just 22 wickets in 27 matches.  On top of that, most importantly, he has been away from the game for quite some time now.

In the last 15 months, he has missed plenty of cricket due to injuries. Bhuvneshwar, who is coming into the game with hardly any game time, will also be up against an explosive batting line up, and if the pitch doesn’t offer him much, he could go for plenty of runs. So it is better to exclude Bhuvi for the time being.

3. Moeen Ali (8.5 credits)

Moeen Ali is a very temperamental player. On his day, he could be very explosive and demolish the spinners, but he has his weaknesses especially against the short ball. He might be exposed against Sunrisers who have a number of quality pacers.

On top of that, his form against Australia in the recently concluded series wasn’t extraordinary either. There might also be a possibility that the team opts to go for Adam Zampa or Dale Steyn over him. Hence, with so many variables involved, it would be advisable not to go with Moeen.
