Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad, two teams which have had interesting contests in the past, will take on each other in a very important game. CSK have had a shambolic IPL. They have just two wins in seven games and haven’t been anywhere close to their peak. They have had very few positives.

Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson seem to be coming together to form a good opening partnership. Narayan Jagadeesan’s debut would give them confidence as well. But apart from that, nothing much to cheer about. SRH have had a decent tournament.

They have won three of the seven games, and had it not been for an outstanding partnership between Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia in the last game, they would have had their fourth win. Jonny Bairstow has been in good form, and Rashid Khan and T Natarajan have bowled well as well. They have a few concerns, but will be confident of getting the better of CSK.

Here are three players you can opt as multipliers for the SRH vs CSK game:

1. Faf du Plessis (10 credits)

One of the highest run-scorers this IPL, Faf du Plessis has looked in ominous touch. He has scored 307 runs in seven games with three half-centuries. He has looked calm and composed at the crease and played some glorious strokes.

He has good memories of playing against SRH, single-handedly taking CSK to a win against them in the Qualifier 1 in 2018. He has missed out in the last couple of games but he would definitely look to make up for that in this match.

2. Rashid Khan (9.5 credits)

The spin king from Afghanistan has been extraordinarily good this season. He has picked up 10 wickets in seven games and has also bowled at an economy of just 5.03. He has bowled with purpose and choked the batsmen more often than not.

With CSK not having a single left-hander in their top five, it will make Rashid even more lethal. If SRH bowl second, that should be an extra incentive to pick Rashid as he bowls exceptionally well while defending a score.

2. David Warner (10.5 credits)

David Warner has evidently not been at his absolute best in this year’s IPL. But despite that, he has been able to milk runs in almost every single match. He has managed to score 275 runs in seven games, and despite not getting those big scores, he has scored a couple of 40s and 50s.

It is time he launches himself. CSK have spinners who bring the ball into the left-hander and Warner will relish that. CSK’s bowling hasn’t been the most impressive in this year’s IPL, and Warner will finally look to play a match-winning inning.
