Among Indians, probably known as a young man who helped his side beat India in last year’s Test series in England, Sam Curran has excelled the cricketing charts at a rapid rate in the past year or so. Unfortunately England’s cricketing management board didn’t give him what he deserved in the 2019 Ashes when they ignored him for the first four Tests against the Aussies. But still, he made the world take notice of him when he finally got a chance to prove himself in the last Test.

Making his IPL debut in the latest edition, Curran impressed everyone with the limited opportunities he got in the Kings XI Punjab side. He grabbed 10 wickets in the 9 matches in which he featured, picking up a brilliant hat-trick against Delhi Capitals. He also helped his side in the batting department scoring some useful runs at the back end of an innings.

Junior Curran will be a talking point when the IPL auction gets underway. Teams who lack a fast-bowling all-rounder, who can score runs at will if given opportunity and bowls accurate yorkers and slower balls in the death overs. will surely try to engage themselves in a bidding war to acquire the services of the 21-year-old youngster.
