The IPL is finally going to happen this year and everybody in the cricket community is fascinated about it. Since the day T20 World Cup was postponed, the BCCI was trying to adjust the most celebrated cricket event in the same bracket. The IPL 2020 will start from September 19 but all the involved cricketers have started posting pictures to show how delighted they are. Recently, Rohit Sharma had posted a picture that he can’t wait to run to the airport and catch the flight.

On Tuesday, the Indian captain followed his deputy’s footsteps as Virat Kohli posted 2 pictures on social media. The RCB captain added ‘loading’ emoji as a caption. The first picture had him with his close friend and RCB teammate AB De Villiers and the other one was a group picture. The cricket has suffered a lot due to the pandemic and the cricketers are enthusiastic to go out and perform. Team India last took the field during the New Zealand tour.

Here’s Virat Kohli’s tweet:

The gaps RCB was looking to fill have been cemented quite well this season

It is evident that the Royal Challengers Bangalore has been the most unfortunate team in the cash-rich league. They have reached the finals thrice but are yet to clinch their first title. However, the franchise had a good time at the auction table this year. The gaps they were looking to fill have been cemented quite well. Dale Steyn, Aaron Finch and Chris Morris will star for them this year to support the line-up which is invariably understood to be dependent on the duo of De Villiers and Virat Kohli.

The latter didn’t have a good outing when the national team went to New Zealand earlier this year. Also, after the long break, it will be very interesting to see how the right-hander fulfils the great benchmark he has set for himself in the previous years. Kohli scored the highest runs for his team last year as well with 464 runs under his belt.

However, for the skipper, 1st priority will always be to take his team to the elusive title. The good part for the Bangalore franchise is that the pinnacle T20 event is happening in UAE this year and RCB’s the spin bowling attack will find the conditions quite helpful.
