Royal Challengers Bangalore have won three of their first four games this year. They are sitting comfortably at the top half of the points table and their team looks quite balanced this time.

After winning a close clash against Mumbai, they won their next encounter rather comfortably against RR. However their next match is against the current table-toppers– Delhi Capitals— and considering Delhi’s form, RCB vs DC seems like a mouth-watering contest.

RCB had several positives from their previous match. Captain Virat Kohli’s lean patch came to an end as he scored a match-winning fifty. Also, their fragile-looking bowling line up now looks like a dominant force. Still, the game against DC is a difficult one and Kohli and company needs to be on their toes to make an impact.

Here is the Predicted Playing XI of Royal Challengers Bangalore for RCB vs DC game:

Openers (Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal)

This opening pair has been one of the most effective pairs in this season. The left-right combination and the knowledge of their role make this duo one of the best in the tournament. Padikkal has scored three fifties in his first four IPL games and Finch’s role of scoring quick runs early on has suited him quite well as he scored a quick-fire fifty against Mumbai Indians.

Middle-order (Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Gurkeerat Singh Mann)

Virat Kohli is back in form and this one of the most valuable news for RCB. After struggling for 3 consecutive games, Kohli scored a match-winning hundred against RR while chasing a total. He will bat at three to provide stability and play the role of an anchor.

AB de Villiers is in great touch this season. Though he didn’t get a chance to bat for long in the fourth game, however, in the first three, he scored two quality fifties. He is the link between and top and the lower order and his role will be to provide the last push to the score with his power-hitting ability. Gurkeerat Singh Mann is the floater for this batting line up. He will either play as a finisher or will play a role to stop the collapse.

All-rounders (Shivam Dube, Chris Morris and Washington Sundar)

Shivam Dube has shown a lot of promise with both bat and ball. He is a decent bowler with a magnificent ability to hit big shots. He is a vital cog in this team as he provides an important balance to the line-up. Washington Sundar’s off-spin is quite effective in the initial overs and he has been quite economical in the last two games.

Chris Morris is expected to make his way into the team in place of Adam Zampa. Morris has been out of the action because of a side strain and Zampa hasn’t been quite effective in both of his excursions this season. Morris provides more depth to the batting order and his death over prowess as a bowler is also quite handy.

Bowlers (Isuru Udana, Yuzvendra Chahal and Navdeep Saini)

Yuzvendra Chahal is the leading wicket-taker of RCB and he is right at the top in Purple Cap’s race as well. Navdeep Saini and Isuru Udana have also impressed everyone with their excellent death bowling and ability to pick early wickets.

With these options, RCB’s bowling unit looks quite an effective one and should provide them with the much-needed balance in RCB vs DC encounter along with their star-studded batting order.
