Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni have a lot of admiration for each other. While playing for India together, the camaraderie between has always been visible. The current Indian skipper, Kohli believes in the former captain a lot. Rather he had once said that Dhoni will always be his captain. No wonder, they will be missing playing together nowadays and with the Ranchi stalwart retiring from international cricket, they won’t share the dressing room together anymore.

The duo met for the second time in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season on Sunday leading their respective teams. MS Dhoni is leading the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) while Virat Kohli is at the helm for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as the two teams faced off in Dubai. And when the latter came out to bat after opting to bat first, it was all smiles in the middle.

Before start of one of the overs, Kohli was seen having a friendly chat with Dhoni who was standing behind the stumps. The RCB skipper was seen saying something to his counterpart and then the latter responded even as Virat Kohli smiled with all his heart out.

Here’s the video:

RCB one step away from making it to the playoffs

As far as the performance of the two teams is concerned, RCB have turned their fortunes around this year. They have played some superb cricket and are well on their way to make it to the playoffs. Their talismanic cricketers, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are in great form while the bowling attack is finally delivering. They have so far won seven out of 10 matches and will be keen on making it to the top two in the points table.

CSK, on the other hand, are enduring their worst ever season and have already been knocked out of the tournament. This is the first time they won’t be featuring in the playoffs in the 11-year history of the IPL franchise. MS Dhoni has time and again admitted that it hasn’t gone their way this time around and will be looking to build a team for next year in the rest of the matches.
