Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings will lock horns against each other in the fourth game of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. Both the teams will be eyeing a strong start to their respective campaigns after failing to do well in IPL 2020. Rajasthan Royals as well as Punjab Kings had failed to make it to the playoffs last year.
The Royals, in fact, finished at the bottom of the points table after managing six wins from 14 games. Punjab Kings had also registered the same number of wins but finished at the sixth spot due to their better net run-rate. Both the teams have a strong squad for IPL 2021 and would be desperate to put up a good show this year.
The Royals have not won the IPL since the inaugural season in 2008 while Punjab Kings are yet to win their first title and have not made it to the playoffs since 2014.
Here are the players whom you can make C or VC in Dream11 Fantasy:
Jos Buttler
Royals’ fortunes this season will depend a lot on how Jos Buttler performs this year. One of the most destructive batsmen in the world at present, Buttler will be eyeing a good start to the season after failing to deliver as per expectations in the last edition. In IPL 2020, he scored 328 runs in 13 matches at a strike rate of 144.49 with two fifties.
Buttler was inconsistent as the Royals struggled to do well. The England star has been in India for quite some time now thanks to the bilateral series against the hosts and would be looking to make the most of the experience. He looked in good form too, scoring two half-centuries in the five-match T20I series.
KL Rahul
Very few batsmen have been as consistent as KL Rahul in the last few seasons of the IPL. He has only gone from strength to strength as a batsman since he started playing for Punjab Kings from 2018. In all the three seasons so far, he has been the highest run-scorer for the franchise.
In IPL 2018, he was the third highest run-scorer with 659 runs. In IPL 2019, he was the second highest run-scorer with 593 runs. Last year, he won the Orange Cap after scoring 670 runs. Rahul will be eying another solid season. He looked in good form during the recent ODI series against England and could hit the ground running in IPL too.
Chris Morris
There are very few players who will garner as much attention as Chris Morris in IPL 2021 and the reason is his huge price tag. In the auction this year, Royals went all out for him and secured his services at a whopping amount of Rs 16.25 crore, thus making him the costliest buy in the history of the IPL. Morris does have the ability to make a big impact in the T20 format.
He bowls at a good pace and has the ability to clear the boundary with ease. Last year, he struggled with his fitness while playing for RCB but still managed to impress. In 9 games, he picked up 11 wickets at an excellent average of just over 19. Morris would be looking to make a strong start to the season.
