IPL 2021: 3 players to avoid in fantasy team for KKR vs SRH game

The match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad doesn’t have that kind of hype that it generally has, and it is to do with the fact that their positions and situations are different. KKR needs to win this game at any cost to have a shot at making it into the playoffs, while Hyderabad would see this as an opportunity to get some respect restored with a good performance. 1. Abhishek Sharma

The left-handed batter has shown that he has the ability to make a difference in the match with the bat and the ball. But, it can be said that his franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad, doesn’t have a lot of faith in his bowling. With his batting as well, he has been playing in the middle order, where one can argue that his skills are not put to use properly. In this contest, there are other all-rounders who can get you more fantasy points. Hence, it won’t be the worst idea to simply ignore Sharma and get someone else in your team. 

2. Shubman Gill

The Punjab batter has been a key member of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise, but his performances haven’t been really good in this season so far. Apart from the 48-run knock, which he played against Bangalore during the first match in the UAE, he hasn’t really delivered with the bat regularly. His form can be seen as a major reason why KKR hasn’t gone on to win regularly in this tournament. In this contest, you have access to some brilliant batters like Kane Williamson, Jason Roy, and others who are more likely to score runs. You can pick them in place of Gill. 

3. Shivam Mavi

The right-arm seamer wasn’t a surprise pick for the KKR team against Punjab, in their last game. It seems that he is a much-improved bowler and has a few new variations which can trick the batters. But, one has to consider his inexperience and lack of game time under the belt. He is a talented bowler, but in this contest, we have bowlers like Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Siddharth Kaul, who can pick wickets more than Mavi can. He might end with a spell where he gets a wicket, but it is always better to bet on a proven match-winner.
