Chennai Super Kings’ victory over Rajasthan Royals was slightly different from the other matches. They scored 188 but the highest score was by Faf du Plessis of 33 runs. There were contributions all through the batting order. For KKR, the same thing happened in their last match, the highest score was 31, but the team went on to make 166 runs.

In these types of situations, it is important to know a little bit of the cricket insights to judge and choose the best players who can help you get the best results from the fantasy teams. Here are the three players whom you should avoid in your fantasy teams for the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings game:

Ambati Rayudu

If you look at Ambati Rayudu’s career graph in the IPL, you will realize that his best years were when he was batting higher up to the order. In fact, MS Dhoni at CSK was the first captain to use him as an opener. The trick worked but since he has been batting in the middle-order, his numbers have dipped.

At the position he is batting, on the Mumbai surface, he might not get a lot of balls to create an impact. There are better options from the batsmen category in this match to pick from, hence avoiding Rayudu won’t be a bad idea.

Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad has not been in the best of form in this tournament. He just hasn’t got going in the IPL 2021. The young batter has struggled to cope with the pace bowlers who have bowled at him during the first couple of matches.

Against KKR, he will be once again up against Pat Cummins and Prasidh Krishna, who have the ability to swing it both ways. Considering his recent form, it will be better picking some of the other batsmen who are there in this match.

Andre Russell

The huge question over Andre Russell is whether he has the chops to deliver match after match for Kolkata Knight Riders. If we see the last couple of matches, he hasn’t done quite well with the bat. There hasn’t been a score of substance and the position where he bats, it will be always difficult for him to get a huge score under his belt.

Now, with him, it is slightly like a hit or miss situation, a perfect example of which was seen in the previous match as far as his bowling is concerned. After taking five wickets in the match before, he went for 38 runs from two overs. His credit score is 10, but there are better all-rounders who are going at less than him and you would be better off if you go with any of them.
