The Indian Premier League 2021 is just moving into the business end and we are just days away from finding out the champions of the tournament. Having said that, it also leaves the fans with some limited opportunities to earn some fantasy points. As Royal Challengers Bangalore takes on Kolkata Knight Riders in the eliminator, we can expect some fireworks and a chance to win fantasy points.

Here are three players to avoid in fantasy teams for the RCB vs KKR game

1. Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik has been playing a key role for Kolkata Knight Riders in this tournament so far. He has managed to get valuable contributions against his name in each of the matches in which he has batted so far in the UAE. His cameos have often helped his team in difficult situations. Having said that, these cameos can be a great thing for his team but don’t help fans get a lot of fantasy points. In this situation, it is better to select a wicketkeeper who bats in the top order. Srikar Bharat has been batting at no. 3 or no.4 in most of the matches and has been in good form as well. Hence, in this contest, it is a no-brainer that you should go for Bharat.

2. Shahbaz Ahmed

If horses for courses is a prevalent saying in Virat Kohli’s captaincy this season, then Shahbaz Ahmed is one of his horses for sure. He has used the all-rounder in a very limited way. He has not given him overs on a regular basis but instead used him only in specific situations when the team needed someone to bowl left-arm orthodox spin to specific batters. The plan of using him has worked quite well for Kohli as well because it seems that Ahmed has been successful in giving wickets to Kohli whenever he wanted it. Yet, the skipper has not used the Bengal all-rounder in all situations. For an instance, in the last game, he didn’t bat or bowl. That has been the case for some matches, hence picking him doesn’t assure you fantasy points.

3. Nitish Rana

The left-handed batter has been key to KKR’s plans this season and despite some up and down performances, he has managed to play all the matches for their team this year. Having said that, it would be interesting to see how he is being used against Royal Challengers Bangalore. So far, he has batted in multiple positions in one season; he has opened, he has batted at no.3, no. 4, no. 5, and even as low as no. 6. With so much uncertainty over his position, runs have also dried up in certain scenarios. Having said that, picking him is almost like a gamble and you might be better off without him in your fantasy team.
