IPL 2021: Aakash Chopra picks his ideal playing XIs for DC vs CSK match

Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on each other in the 50th match of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). This blockbuster battle will take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

And, former Indian opening batsman Aakash Chopra has picked his predicted playing XIs of both sides for this match. Chopra reckons that the Delhi side might think of replacing Steve Smith with Sam Billings in their playing XI.

Other than that, the rest of the lineup is likely to remain the same for Delhi according to Chopra. The 43-year-old also wants to see Prithvi Shaw amongst the runs. Chopra is also impressed with the way Shreyas Iyer has batted in IPL Phase 2.

Aakash Chopra also stated that Chennai’s loss against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) was a wake-up call for the MS Dhoni-led side. The cricket-turned-commentator suggested that CSK might possibly make two changes to their playing XI for the clash against the Delhi outfit.

Chopra feels that without the likes of Dwayne Bravo and Deepak Chahar, the CSK bowling attack looked a little weak against the RR side. Chopra also added that Dwayne Bravo should replace Sam Curran in the CSK playing XI, while Deepak Chahar can replace KM Asif in the side.

Both Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals have been spectacular in the 2021 edition of the IPL. CSK is perched at the top of the points table, having accumulated 18 points in their 12 matches, while Delhi is placed at the second spot, having collected the same number of points in the same number of matches.
