KKR are all set to play their next clash of IPL 2021 against Rajasthan Royals on October 07, 2021. While the Royals don’t have much in hand at the moment, it would be a great chance for KKR to strengthen their position for playoffs in the same game.  KKR played their last game against SRH and won the game by six wickets. However, two of their star players Lockie Ferguson and Andre Russell couldn’t be part of the game due to their respective injuries.

As of now, there is a sigh of relief for Morgan and company as both Ferguson and Russell have started training and might be seen in their next contest against Rajasthan. As Russell and Ferguson were out of the last games, Shakib Al Hasan and Tim Seifert got their chances with KKR.

“Where is Russell? Where is Lockie?” Well, they are at the training ground, firing in all cylinders” posted KKR.

KKR played their last game against SRH and won the low-scoring affair in an easy manner. As they move on to the next game, it remains to be seen how they level up their game. The form of their skipper Eoin Morgan has also turned to be a matter of concern and it remains to be seen if he can contribute with the bat in the next game.

“The wicket played slower than we thought than the wicket two nights ago. It swings early in the powerplay in these conditions, but it was sluggish. We needed to bowl and field well and we did. Shubman played extremely well and led the chase. The depth of the squad to be able to call Shakib is a huge luxury, so he has had a huge impact,” said Morgan after the game against SRH.

“We didn’t know it wouldn’t be played in India, and we have done well in the conditions and adapted well. We are focussed on playing good cricket and we’ve done that in the last three weeks. The game plan has had a good impact in the dressing room and guys are putting their hands up. We have done well to adapt to the slow conditions and I’m happy with that,” he added.
