The twenty-first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (RR) is currently in progress at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Winning the toss, the Riders’ skipper Eoin Morgan opted to field, speaking that the new venue looks suitable for chasing. He spoke about trying and finding the solution where the team has gone wrong. KKR is entering into the contest with four consecutive defeats.

On a Head-to-Head count in the history of IPL of these two sides, Kolkata has been an extremely dominant side, winning double the number of games (18) as compared to nine to Punjab’s in 27 encounters. And the former KKR cricketer and the CricTracker expert Manvinder Bisla reckons that the Eoin Morgan-led side will once again be able to take an edge over KL Rahul and his men to break their streak of losses and get back to winning ways.

Think Andre Russell will fire tonight: Manvinder Bisla

Speaking at CricTracker’s live show ‘In The Air’, Bisla reckoned that Kolkata Knight Riders is not a team that should be placed as low at the bottom spot in the table. He mentioned the hitting abilities of the players like Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Pat Cummins. “I feel KKR tonight because they have better players. It is not a team that deserves to be at this position in the points table. It is only about finding that one victory and building the momentum. If they get that, they have the ability to bounce back,” he said.

He appraised the team and mentioned the presence of the many match-winners that KKR possesses. Bisla further backed Andre Russell to perform. “The team has many match-winners and they can definitely win. I think Andre Russell will be firing tonight and he will have a role to play in KKR’s win”

Meanwhile, this is the first game at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Kolkata Knight Riders, who have lost four of their five games so far, are playing with an unchanged eleven, while Punjab Kings, placed with two wins from four games at the fifth spot, brought in Chris Jordan into their eleven.
