The 15th match of the Indian Premier League will take place between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings. Having won two of their total three matches, the yellow franchise led by MSD is faring well so far. CSK had their last outing against Rajasthan and they bagged the match by a good margin of 45 runs which pushed them on the second position on the points table.

Apart from winning the game, what has been good so far for the CSK is the fact that they have tried to maintain an upper hand on their net run rate. Their NRR is highest at the current point among all the teams and they would look forward to maintaining the same. Apart from this, not many changes would be expected in their lot in their next game against KKR.

CSK Predicted Playing XI against KKR- Match 15

Openers (Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis)

Though Gaikwad is yet to shine for the yellow team in IPL 2021, keeping his performance in mind from the last year makes him a fine pick for CSK’s next match. The youngster has a lot of spark and may get back to his old ways in coming up matches. Du Plessis has been a consistent man for the yellow team for quite some time now and he got up some crucial runs from his bat in the last game too. He is expected to get going in his fine-tune and set up a good tone for CSK in the next game.

Middle Order (Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, and MS Dhoni)

Raina has always been the backbone of CSK’s middle order and the team expects him to ace up the same role in the coming matches. He couldn’t add much from his end in the last game but would be expected to take up responsibilities in the next game. Rayudu, who added some essential runs from his bat in the last game would be expected to add some firepower from his end to the team’s middle order.

Though MS Dhoni didn’t score a lot in the last game, he surely gave a glimpse of his prime level fitness even in his 40s. He saved his wicket by making a full-length dive and those two fours from his bat were enough to make his fans uber happy. The legendary skipper would be keen on pushing his team to bag another victory against KKR.

All-rounders (Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran, and Dwayne Bravo)

Moeen Ali has been faring too well for his new franchise. He was even awarded Player of the match for the last game as he added runs with his bat and made sure to pick three essential wickets for his team by conceding just 7 runs in his three overs. He will just be expected to get going in his usual form. Though Jadeja couldn’t add much with his bat in the last game, there was never a doubt about this superman of CSK with his other potentials. He picked two crucial wickets for his team in the same over and took four splendid catches to get the team going.

Sam Curran and Dwayne Bravo both added their contributions well enough in the last game against RR. Apart from adding few runs with the bat, both made sure to get some wickets for the yellow team. The all-rounder section of CSK always adds an X factor to the team.

Bowlers (Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar)

Shardul Thakur picked one wicket in his last outing and remained fairly economical and being a bowling all-rounder, the Mumbai man is expected to add some runs in the end too. Chahar is always considered MSD’s go-to man with the new ball, however, the magic didn’t unfold last time and he remained wicketless. The pacer would be expected to pick up rhythm once again for the team.
