IPL 2021: Match 19 - CSK vs RCB - Player Records and Approching Milestones

It will be an exciting clash of the table toppers CSK and RCB at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Not only these teams are at the top-two in the table, but they also are dominant so far with a net-run-rate above 1. After their first off-season in 2020, IPL returned to India and CSK returned to their winning ways after a loss against DC in the opener.

Plenty of runs are expected to be on offer at Wankhede, as both the teams scored at about 11 an over in their last match at the venue. Captain Virat Kohli who has just completed 6000 runs in IPL, is backed up by many brilliant performers at the other end with the likes of Devdutt Padikkal, AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell.

Chennai Super Kings who have Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali as their top-run scorers this season, would like to use this oppurtunity for their Indian batsmen to become more consistent.

1 – Suresh Raina needs one more six to complete 200 sixes in the IPL. On completing it, he will become the fourth Indian to reach there after the trio of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni.

16 – David Warner needs 26 more runs to reach 5000 runs in IPL. He will become only the second overseas player after AB de Villiers to reach the milestone.

29 – Ambati Rayudu needs 29 runs to become the third player to score 1000 T20 runs at Wankhede, after Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard. He was a part of the Mumbai Indians franchise from 2010 to 2017.

823 – MS Dhoni has scored 823 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, which is the most for any player. He has it with exceptional average (41.15) and strike-rate (141.90).

43 – Total sixes by Dhoni against RCB, which is comfortably the highest by a player against a team in IPL. Next highest is 33 by David Warner against SRH.

516 – Runs scored by AB de Villiers at a strike-rate of 154.49 against Chennai Super Kings in IPL. He is the only player with 500+ runs at a strike rate of 150+ against CSK in the league.
