Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders will clash in the third game of the Indian Premier League 2021. This match will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. In the first game of the season played at this venue, RCB registered a nail-biting victory against Mumbai Indians.

SRH have performed better than KKR in the recent years of IPL. They have qualified for the playoffs in each of the seasons in the last 5 years. SRH won the IPL title for the first time in 2016, and they were runners-up in 2018. On the other hand, KKR ended up at the fifth spot in the points table both times in the last 2 years.
