Royal Challengers Bangalore will battle it out with Chennai Super Kings in the 35th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. The encounter takes place at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah on Friday (September 24). Both these teams have been on a roll this season which makes this contest highly awaited. With six wins in eight games, the MS Dhoni-led side is second in the team standings at the time of season suspension.

A spot below is occupied by RCB, who won five of their eight matches. Meanwhile, the Men in Yellow kick-started the UAE leg on a thrilling note, defeating defending champions Mumbai Indians in their first assignment. It was indeed a comprehensive win as the Mumbai-based side failed to chase 157 in Dubai, losing the game by 20 runs.

On the other hand, RCB’s first outing in UAE this year wasn’t pleasant by any means. The Virat Kohli-led side couldn’t do much against Kolkata Knight Riders and suffered a humiliating nine-wicket defeat. After bundling the Bangalore-based outfit for 92, KKR crossed the line with as many as 10 overs to spare.

It must be noted that CSK comprehensively defeated RCB in the first leg of the competition. After posting 191/4 in Mumbai, Chennai restricted the Challengers for 122/9, walking away with a 69-run win. While MS Dhoni’s men would be determined to replicate their heroics, Virat Kohli’s team will fight to settle the scores.
