The coronavirus pandemic continues to play havoc in the lives of people in India. In fact, on 27th April 2021, India reported over 350000 corona cases. And, amidst this pandemic, the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is taking place.

And, due to this unprecedented surge of cases, the IPL has enforced stricter measures that all the players have to follow. Now, all those people who are inside the bubble will have to mandatorily get tested once in 2 days, as opposed to once in 5 days.

Also, no player can order food from outside the hotel in which they are staying. In fact, BCCI Chief Executive Officer Hemang Amin stated that earlier they had permitted players to order food from outside, but now the players have been barred from doing so. Amin also added that the level of caution has been increased inside the bio bubbles as well.

“Earlier in the tournament, we had permitted food deliveries from outside your designated hotels, but these privileges have also been withdrawn. Apart from this, we have also increased our level of caution to strengthen our bio-bubbles,” said Hemang Amin as quoted by News 18.
