IPL 2021: No outside food, more frequent testing, and Indian players to get vaccinated
A BCCI source has confirmed that all the Indian players who are taking part in the 14th edition of the IPL can get vaccinated from 1st May 2021.

The coronavirus pandemic continues to play havoc in the lives of people in India. In fact, on 27th April 2021, India reported over 350000 corona cases. And, amidst this pandemic, the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is taking place.
And, due to this unprecedented surge of cases, the IPL has enforced stricter measures that all the players have to follow. Now, all those people who are inside the bubble will have to mandatorily get tested once in 2 days, as opposed to once in 5 days.
Also, no player can order food from outside the hotel in which they are staying. In fact, BCCI Chief Executive Officer Hemang Amin stated that earlier they had permitted players to order food from outside, but now the players have been barred from doing so. Amin also added that the level of caution has been increased inside the bio bubbles as well.
“Earlier in the tournament, we had permitted food deliveries from outside your designated hotels, but these privileges have also been withdrawn. Apart from this, we have also increased our level of caution to strengthen our bio-bubbles,” said Hemang Amin as quoted by News 18.

Also, a BCCI source has confirmed that all the Indian players who are taking part in the 14th edition of the IPL can get vaccinated from 1st May 2021. The source concluded by stating that it is a call that is totally left to the players. The source also concluded by stating that only the Indian players can get vaccinated.
“The Indian players can get vaccinated from Saturday. It is a call that is left on players. Only the Indian players can get vaccinated here,” concluded the BCCI source.
The 14th edition of the IPL will be conducted for more than 7 weeks. The tournament commenced on 9th April 2021, and the summit clash will be played on 30th May 2021. The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side led by Virat Kohli is currently occupying the top place in the points table, having won 5 out of the 6 matches that they have played in the tournament thus far.
