The twenty-fifth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) is currently in progress at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Winning the toss, the Delhi Capitals’ skipper Rishabh Pant opted to field, suggesting that there might be dew present during the second innings that should help the team chasing.

On a Head-to-Head count in the history of IPL of these two sides, the Kolkata Knight Riders have been the superior side, having won 14 encounters to Deli Capitals’ 11 in 26 IPL meetings, with one being no result.

In IPL 2020, Delhi Capitals won a high-scoring clash against KKR in their first meet. DC posted a total of 228/4. KKR managed to score 210/8 in the chase, losing the game by 18 runs. In the second match, KKR put up a total of 194/6 and restricted DC to 135/9, thus winning by a big margin of 59 runs

The former India cricketer and the CricTracker expert Reema Malhotra reckons that the Eoin Morgan-led Kolkata Knight Riders will be able to take an edge over Rishabh Pant and his men in this encounter and will record their third victory of the season.

KKR has a slight advantage: Reema Malhotra

Speaking at CricTracker’s live show ‘In The Air’, Malhotra said she would want to go with the Kolkata Knight Riders because of the spin duo of Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine, who she suggested have always delivered for the team in tough times.

“To be honest, my heart backs Delhi always, but I believe Kolkata Knight Riders have a slight advantage over Delhi Capitals due to their spin twins Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy tonight. They will have a crucial role to play and whenever the need arises, they have stood up for the team. So I will give this one to KKR.”

“But I feel the difference is not too stark between the two sides. 51-49 in favor of KKR but DC has been good in the season too,” she added.
