Harbhajan Singh is one such senior professional, who is at the twilight of his career. On Wednesday, when Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings were about to play their league match in the IPL 2021 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Suresh Raina was seen paying respect to Harbhajan by touching his feet.

A video of the two was uploaded on social media and it instantly went viral. Harbhajan, who is playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2021, has been a long-time teammate of Suresh Raina. The two played for the Indian national cricket team for several years. They were together part of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 triumph.

After that, when Mumbai Indians released Harbhajan, CSK bought him, and once again Suresh Raina shared a dressing room with the veteran off-spinner. They were together part of the 2018 IPL title-winning Chennai team. Ahead of the 2021 season, Harbhajan was released by CSK and bought by KKR for his base price of INR 2 crores.

Coming back to the incident before the match between Chennai and Kolkata, the video which was uploaded on Twitter by a fan, Harbhajan Singh was seen standing on the ground talking to Imran Tahir and Ravindra Jadeja. This is when Suresh Raina came from behind and went down to touch Harbhajan’s feet. The spinner stopped him and then hugged him.

In the background, Irfan Pathan, who was in the pre-show of the Star Sports, was heard saying that the two have shared the dressing room for so many years and it is wonderful to see the respect between the two players.
