The twentieth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is currently in progress at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Winning the toss, the Capitals’ skipper Rishabh Pant opted to bat, suggesting that he expects less dew and the wicket appears dry and suitable to bat.

On a Head-to-Head count in the history of IPL of these two sides, Hyderabad has an upper hand, winning 11 games to Delhi’s seven in 18 IPL meetings. In IPL 2020, Sunrisers Hyderabad won both their league matches against Delhi Capitals before losing against them in the important qualifier.

The former PBKS cricketer and the CricTracker expert VRV Singh, however, reckons that the Rishabh Pant-led side will be able to take an edge over David Warne and his men in this encounter and register their fourth win in the season. Speaking at CricTracker’s live show ‘In The Air’, Singh appreciated the manner in which Delhi adapted to different conditions in Chennai and Mumbai. He also went onto praise their young batsmen Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant apart from mentioning Shikhar Dhawan’s form.

“I would like to go with Delhi Capitals because of the kind of momentum that they have been able to make. They have some good youngsters and Delhi has adapted very well across both the venues, Chennai and Mumbai.”

“Although, Rashid Khan is a big factor and it will be challenging for Delhi to counter him. But overall, the DC has better chances given their impression this year”

SRH, DC make some changes

Ahead of the game, both the sides had a change in the look as Delhi Capitals brought in Axar Patel for Lalit Yadav, while Jagadeesha Suchith came in as a forced change, replacing the injured Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who had left the field in the last game after facing some issues in his thigh muscles.

SRH is currently placed at the 7th spot in the table with only a single win from four games. On the other hand, the Capitals are placed at the third spot with 6 points from as many games.
