The Australian medium-pacer Andrew Tye has been included in the LSG squad as a replacement for Mark Wood. He is a talented bowler capable of picking up crucial wickets for his team. He has proved to be an asset for his national team as well. The Aussie pacer also has vast experience of playing for various franchises in T20 leagues all around the world.

Tye proved himself to be a valuable T20 player for the Perth Scorchers. His ability to hit yorkers at the death makes him a valuable addition in the shorter formats. He has a fantastic record in his T20 career, having 253 wickets to his name at an economy rate of only 8 runs per over. Tye has played 30 IPL matches so far, picking up 42 wickets. He is the uncanny knack for picking wickets at crucial junctures which can turn the tables of a match at any point.

He was bought by LSG for a whopping INR 1 crore due to his splendid bowling performances over the past few years. However, he has not been given enough chance to prove his metal so far in the tournament. Tye has featured in three games this season so far with not much success but with the kind of experience he possesses, he can surely turn things around and could prove to be a vital cog in the LSG’s bowling lineup.
