Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians will face each other for the very first time in IPL 2022 on Friday. Gujarat’s captain Hardik Pandya will be up against his former franchise and all the eyes will be upon him. Under Hardik, GT have performed exceptionally well this season winning 8 out of 10 matches. They are placed in the first position in the points table and a win in this match would ensure their place in the playoffs. GT lost their previous game against Punjab Kings after scoring 143 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, are going through their worst run in IPL history. They have won 1 out of 9 matches and find themselves in the last position in the points tally. The only win came in the previous match against Rajasthan Royals and they would hope for a similar performance in this game.

Here are 3 players you can avoid in your fantasy teams for the GT vs MI game:

1. Kieron Pollard

The former West Indies captain has not been the same this season. With the bat, he is yet to score over 30 runs in an innings and has picked only 3 wickets. Until last season, Kieron Pollard was considered the backbone of MI’s batting unit and had finished several matches for them. However, his struggle continued right from the first match of the season. You can avoid Pollard from your fantasy team for this match.

2. Tim David

Mumbai Indians have failed to use Tim David this season. They paid INR 8.25 crores for him in the auction where 5 other teams were also adamant to have him in their squad. The 26-year old all-rounder has featured in just 3 matches for MI this season and has scored only 33 runs.

3. Pradeep Sangwan

Pradeep Sangwan made a comeback in the IPL after a gap of 4 years. In his debut game for GT against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sangwan picked 2 wickets for just 19 runs. However, he failed to repeat his own performance in the last game against Punjab Kings. Sangwan bowled just 2 overs and gave away 23 runs.
