The Singaporean cricketer, Tim David has been highly rated ahead of this season due to his finishing capabilities. He had proved himself in the leagues like BBL, PSL, and CPL as well. He featured in only one game for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the last edition.

David was snapped up by the Mumbai Indians for the IPL 2022 season. In the initial games, he could not get enough runs under his belt and was dropped. However, he returned in the latter half of the season and produced terrific knocks for the team. In one of the games against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the youngster hit a 114 meter six which was the second-highest in this season.

Mumbai needed 45 off three overs and T. Natarajan was the bowling for SRH. David started his onslaught to hit four sixes in the over. The last six which came on a low-full toss ball was an instant connection from the bat and David was ecstatic to send it to the long-on boundary. However, he was dismissed in the same over, and the team lost by three runs.
