The recently retired former West Indies Captain has been an MI and IPL heavyweight for quite a few years now. He was unsurprisingly retained by MI as their only overseas player out of the four retentions.

However, this season has been shocking for the stalwart as he has struggled to score runs and been unable to accelerate or finish off games, something that we have long associated with the hard-hitting allrounder.

He has also been perhaps the most-backed player on this list, recording 11 appearances but failing to make an impact in any of them. MI finally lost patience with Pollard, replacing him with young SA recruit Tristan Stubbs.
